I support mothers who have lost a sense of themselves in the transition into motherhood, helping them regain clarity around their identity, energy, and direction during matrescence.

Hi (expectant) mom,
After years of working in the corporate world, where I gained experience in giving group trainings and workshops, I decided to shift my focus completely to guiding women during their journey through motherhood. I am a certified Seasons of Matrescence™ guide and currently in training as an Integrative coach, counselor and therapist. This combination of professional and personal experience allows me to support women in a profound and expert way in every phase of their Matrescence.
Mission of The Motherhood Movement
My mission is to raise awareness and awareness around Matrescence so that mothers feel supported and acknowledged in their unique transformation. I believe that every mother deserves a safe space to grow, learn and thrive in her role.

I know what it’s like to lose yourself between caring, planning, and performing
Hi, I’m Lianne.
Nowhere are judgments as harsh as in motherhood.
You work too much, or not enough.
You’re too gentle, too strict, too relaxed, or too controlling. There’s always someone with an opinion. And when you’re exhausted, you start to believe them.
After my maternity leave, I tried to work as if I wasn’t a mother and mother as if I didn’t work. Unsurprisingly, it drained me. From a distance, I could see myself sitting in my golden cage as a global partner at Meta — successful on paper, but not truly contributing to the world in a way that felt meaningful to me. My daughters were one and three years old when I collapsed under the weight of an unresolved postnatal depression.
Motherhood changes everything: mentally, physically, financially, socially — and at work. And yet, so many mothers believe they are the only ones who feel exhausted or overwhelmed. I find that deeply painful — and completely unnecessary. Because there is a word for what you’re going through: matrescence. A transition so profound and life-altering that it’s astonishing how little we talk about it.
As a certified matrescence coach and counselor, I support (expectant) mothers in changing what they cannot accept — and accepting what they cannot change.
